Saba, daughter of former Indian cricket captain, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi would soon take over as Naib Mutavally (deputy managing trustee) of the royal trust for the properties of the erstwhile Bhopal state.
Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board, Gufran-e-Azam told PTI that Mansoor Pataudi had written a letter to the Board expressing his desire to deputise his daughter as the Board's managing trustee.
Azam said that a decision on Pataudi's letter was taken at the Waqf Board meeting on Sunday and added that Saba can take charge of new post soon.
Saba, sister of Hindi film actors Saif and Soha Ali Khan is a New Delhi-based jewellery designer who is said to be a conservative and not much given to party going.
The properties to be looked after by Saba include the Jama masjid, Moti masjid, Sufia masjid and the Raisen dargah sharif.
Pataudi had been grooming his daughter for this post for a long time and the two had visited Bhopal many times to assess the trust properties
