Identify Mohd Atif Amin and Ariz alias Junaid as the ones who had planted the dustbin bomb at the M-Block market
The Delhi Police on Thursday filed the chargesheet in connection with the blast in Greater Kailash in the Capital. In their second chargesheet in the September 13 serial blasts here, the police have identified Mohd Atif Amin and Ariz alias Junaid, as the ones who had planted the bomb in a dustbin at M-block market in GK-I.
While Atif, the alleged leader of militant group Indian Mujahideen was killed in the Batla House encounter, Junaid is yet to be arrested. The police have also claimed in the chargesheet that Junaid is also involved in Terror blasts across the country.
On September 19, Junaid had fired at the police raiding party led by Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma before escaping from flat 108, L-18 Batla House, the chargesheet reads.
The five accused who have already been arrested by the police in the case — Mohd Shakeel, Zia-ur-Rehman, Saquib Nissar, Mohd Saif and Zeeshan — have been charged with various offences under the Indian Penal Code, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosive Substances Act. They have, however, not been charged for murder as there were no casualties in the GK blast
